Do you want to hear from a Bloomsbury editor, and get answers to your questions?
Then join us online for a ‘Meet the Editor’ session with Alison Hennessey, Publishing Director at Raven Books, an imprint at Bloomsbury Publishing which focuses on literary crime, thrillers and suspense with a commercial edge: books that will intrigue, unsettle and engage.
Alison will talk you through how she works with authors and the role of an editor. She'll discuss what excites her in a manuscript and the kind of books she loves to work with, and share her top tips for writers working towards publication.
And then it’s over to you. You’ll have the opportunity to submit questions to [email protected] ahead of the session or to ask questions directly into the chat during the session itself.
The event will take place online via Teams, and last half an hour. It will also be recorded so if you are unable to attend live, you'll be able to catch-up and access the recording for up to two weeks after the event has taken place.
Alison Hennessey has worked in publishing for over twenty years, including 11 years spent at Penguin Random House. She set up the Raven Books imprint in 2017 and her authors at Bloomsbury include number one bestseller, Stuart Turton, as well as writers such as Laura Purcell, Katherine Faulkner and Femi Kayode.
The workshop fee of £10 (incl. VAT) is payable in full online. Please note that payment instalment plans are available for all W&A events, writing courses and editing services. Contact W&A Admin on [email protected] so that we can find a payment schedule that works for you.
