Do you want to hear from a Bloomsbury editor, and get answers to your questions?
Then join us online for a ‘Meet the Editor’ session with Caroline Hogg, Editorial Director for Commercial Fiction at Bloomsbury Publishing, with a specialism in commercial women's fiction.
Caroline will talk you through how she works with authors and the role of an editor. She'll discuss what excites her in a manuscript and the kind of books she loves to work with, and share her top tips for writers working towards publication.
And then it’s over to you. You’ll have the opportunity to submit questions to [email protected] ahead of the session or to ask questions directly into the chat during the session itself.
The event will take place online via Teams, and last half an hour. It will also be recorded so if you are unable to attend live, you'll be able to catch-up and access the recording for up to two weeks after the event has taken place.
I am a creative, insightful and highly experienced editor within the commercial women’s fiction genre, having spent almost 20 years in UK publishing. My particular areas of expertise are detailed structural edits, writing short but effective copy and shout lines, building strong bonds with authors and developing original concepts for novels to fill a gap in the market.
The workshop fee of £10 (incl. VAT) is payable in full online. Please note that payment instalment plans are available for all W&A events, writing courses and editing services. Contact W&A Admin on [email protected] so that we can find a payment schedule that works for you.
This is a live online event which will be presented using video conferencing software. Joining instructions and full guidance will be provided by the W&A Team a week before the event start-date. Please note, all event timings are in UK time.
