Horror is a broad spectrum, with a range of genres adopting all sort of approach to evoking fear. In this four-week course we'll be delving into four popular subgenres of the field, with each session featuring a blend of tips and techniques, examples, discussion points and writing exercises.
The course will be led by acclaimed Creative Writing lecturer and tutor Alex Davis.
WEEK 1 - Introduction and Ghost Stories
WEEK 2 - Folk Horror and Slasher Fiction
WEEK 3 - Body horror and Extreme Horror
WEEK 4 - Psychological Horror and Conclusion
