I know I am not ready to be published yet, however I was wondering if there was a minimum age you have to be when trying to get an agent and published. Also I am going to university this September and although I will be doing a degree in History I believe there are groups for creative writing. Would anyone recommend my joining or will the be a hinderence as a opposed to a benefit? Thank you

I'm pretty sure you can be published at any age - I remember reading about a girl who was only five or six publishing a re-telling of Noah's Ark several years ago.
Regarding the creative writing group, I'd say definitely join! You'll be surrounded by like-minded people who can offer criticism and encouragment - just like on here, only you'd really know the people and have the chance to become friends with them.
