I've been a member of this site for years and always found there were people willing to leave feedback for other users to improve their writing... Now the site seems to have dwindled and the users posting work are no longer receiving the great feedback I love this site for. I understand people have lives and are busy, but it really is a shame to see a site go from being well used to users seemingly ignore one another's work 😔 Hopefully when times are less busy for everyone the feedback will commence
I completely understand that; for example my piece is to do with domestic abuse and understand fully not everyone is going to want to read that sort of piece... That's again another reason I love this site, there is so much diversity in what is posted that there really is something for everyone (Mae even better now that more than one piece can be posted at any given time). In regards to the grammar, that is perfectly fine, however sometimes it is grammar, punctuation, spelling etc that people require feedback on and unfortunately first drafts are never going to be 100% perfect.
I've only recently stumbled into this site. I'm prepared to give feedback on other writers' work as long as:
the writer has a reasonable command of English grammar and sentence construction and
the piece isn't unnecessarily violent or obscene.
