I find that when I want some help writing a particular scene for my novel, be it someone conveying deep and heart felt emotions to full action packed moments, then listening to certain genres of music help a great deal to convey the right feeling. So, do you find music helps or hinders your writing?
Thanks for all your comments, nice to see how music influences people in different ways. A good exercise at the start of the day clears my head while the music inspires in the filling of it. :)
Music definitely helps me when I write. Like you, I will often pick music which is relevant to the scene that I'm writing. If I'm not sure, then anything by Vangelis will generally be inspiring.
Usually yes, music does help me, but it depends on what i'm writing.
