I have just missed the deadline for getting my recently-born publishing concern into the WAYB listings for 2016.
So I'm using this Q&A option to get the word out. Anyone interested?
BE WARNED: NO advance royalties; a shoestring budget; and a long list of disadvantages...
BUT if you think of it as a "self-publishing agency" that DOESN'T ask you for £500 upfront and ISN'T modestly shy about telling you what %age of profits on sales you'll make, you might just be interested.
Biggest advantage: We don't tie you to a contract, so that whenever you find a publisher elsewhere which can offer you a better deal, you're free to follow it up.
HOWEVER: We DO have strict standards, so please read http://la-granota.com/press.htm CAREFULLY before submitting.
Hi Jim.
Good luck with your business adventure.
You might want to look up Jordi Savall for Spanish soundtracks. The man is a genius.
Lorraine, have you got a website or business e-mail address?
I would like you to proof read my completed manuscript when I'm done editing. Let me know your rates.
Hi
Just wanted to add my congratulations to the throng!
I wish you every success and when you're ready for longer books for 10 plus, then let me know, please.
In the meantime I may steal your template for a cover letter - maybe I'll re-send to the publishers who haven't got round to rejecting me yet.
Good luck!
Kate
Bravo, Jimmy! I wish you all the success in the world! Anything I can do to help (proofreading in English a speciality!) just shout.
