I recently made an attempt to post an excerpt here that was rife with italics (internal dialog). The system didn't pick up the italics. I know that Microsoft word has a few issues with cut and paste into web forms, and I have tried using "Textpad" and find it extremely cumbersome. What are some of your favorite text editor programs? Any suggestions?

Nope. Neither worked... :(
I don't think it has to do with Microsoft; all italicised text copied from my Mac (Pages 09, Scrivener for Mac, etc.) appears as standard text. Maybe Admin can give us an answer?

I wrote something in Word yesterday and cut and pasted some lines for repeating further down the same page. The italics didn't appear there either. I wonder if it's a Microsoft issue?
