Lack of respect

Has anyone had any dealings with a US publishing company, 'Publishers Weekly-Select' in regards to getting their self-published books reviewed?

More to the point, when writing to PW-Select has anyone had a personal reply?

PW-Select having not reviewed my book didn't bother to email me to say why. I am NOT looking for praise just a simple answer.

I've written several emails to these people but to NO AVAIL.

To me, this is very odd indeed and shows a total lack of respect.

Hi Roy,

I recently read an article here: http://www.neonmagazine.co.uk/?p=4286 on how to avoid vanity publishers, and within that article there is a link to experiences other people have had in the States with self pubbing companies. I don't know if yours is in there but you may be able to find out what other people did in your situation (I've read some of them and there are many mentions of publishing companies going silent on clients), and maybe connect with people who can help? There may also be legal advice/ gateways.

Good luck.

Hi Jonathan

Thanks for your good wishes and valued comments. I guess your are correct. I'll have to put it down to experience.
