Punctuation problem...AGAIN!

by ELSIE BYRON

I'm coming to a part in my story where my little girl gets into a frightening situation. She ends up sobbing quite hard and tries to talk at the same time. My problem is, how do I punctuate between sobs? It would go something like this. 'I'm...sorry...I...shouldn't have...done...it.' I just want to make sure I put the correct punctuation in between the words. Thanks

Thank you Jimmy you're right, sometimes others do see things differently. I'm glad I asked the question I've had some good feedback.

Elsie, you're not thick! Sometimes it takes an outsider to see something that your eyes have swept over 20 times. This is why it's always important to get somebody else to proof-read your MS. AT LEAST proof-read. Better still is finding someone who can make suggestions on style and plot. (N.B.: suggestions! You have the final word. It's YOUR voice that must be heard.)

Thanks you Serena I'm amazed at all the ideas. I must be thick I couldn't think of any!
