Script writing.

I have an idea for a comedy movie that I think could be interesting to work on, but I have never written any kind of script before. Has anyone had any experience or thoughts about script writing?

I'm afraid that I know nothing about script writing at all really, but I have recently seen a couple of competitions that you might find interesting (though it depends of course on when you wanted to start writing, as you mention that you've other things to focus on). You may have already seen them, and they may not be at all helpful, but here they are:

Thanks everyone, that's all great advice. I won't be startin work on the actual script yet though because all I have at the moment is a very vague idea and I'm already working on two other projects which means I don't want to start a third because I'll get confused.
