Do you intend to design the cover for your Novel?

Will you leave the cover design to the publisher, or will you, like me want to exercise some control in the design process, and the blurb on the back cover?

Replies

I would love to design mine, but honestly, I don't think I'd be able to aim it at the right target group. I would leave it to the publishers, because they do know best when it comes to selling books. (Except those who reject my books ha-ha :P)

Hi Roy.

I will either employ someone to design my cover from my ideas, or present my ideas to an agent.

I have designed and illustrated my cover. Perhaps it was easy for me, as I am an experienced graphic designed using Adobe illustrator and Photoshop. If you can get your head around just those two pieces of software, you should be able to design any cover. The possibilities are endless.
