Do you intend to design the cover for your Novel?

Will you leave the cover design to the publisher, or will you, like me want to exercise some control in the design process, and the blurb on the back cover?

Hi ASG.

You raise a good point regarding illustrations.

I would like to include maps in my book as the geographical settings are vital to my plot and storyline.

I have designed a cover for my book, but I am not happy with it. I think I am too close to the story to be able to take a step back and design the cover. So although I studied graphic design this is one aspect of the book that I would happily hand over to the publisher as I don't intend to self-publish (at this stage).

I do have a couple of illustrators that I would like to work with as I feel their style would lend itself to my story.

I have enough ideas, but I shall also look at the cover designs of contemporary novels online. I will research all genres.
